WHAT IS DIVERSION?

Diversion is when products are sold in “unauthorized” places.

Example: Salon professional products you find outside of a salon are considered to be “diverted.” You might see a few bottles in your local supermarket, drugstore, online or at a discounter store.

Example: Millions of people are dying. People are dying in developing countries from diseases that are normally easily treatable by pharmaceutical drugs. These countries cannot afford to pay the high price that pharmaceutical companies and patent holders charge for the drugs that most people in developed countries take for granted. Companies and Patented holders are allowing  developing countries to manufacture generic versions of the patented drugs to be provided to the poor at a cheaper cost what is a noble cause has spurred the Diversion problem for a quick profit and Pharmaceutical companies to halt the license of their most profitable and patented portfolio to the Generics.

Diverted products could be a health hazard. They are often counterfeit, diluted formulas, or old, expired formulas that may not be safe to use. Irritation or even infection can result from the use of diverted products. It’s also illegal to divert products.

WHO IS DIVERTING PRODUCTS?

Products are diverted by unauthorized distributors and salons or their employees, plus other dishonest individuals who see profit in piracy.
